There is no such thing as a 'house dog'. All dogs need exercise. With the right nutrition and exercise program, your dog is more likely to have a longer, healthier and happier life.

Allow us to tailor a program to suit you and your dog, from structured runs or fast walks or just a good sniff and play in the park.

HappypawsFITNESS offers dog walking and running programs that'll give your canine a bright spot during the day. Dogs require physical and mental stimulation just like humans do. If proper exercise is provided on a daily basis, it will energize their body, mind and spirit.

Many dogs behavioural problems are the result of isolation, boredom and insufficient exercise. HappypawsFITNESS dog walking and running programs are a great service for your dog when you can't be around to exercise and play.

When your dog starts our program we begin by slowly building up his or her indurance using interval training.

All our sessions have:

  • A warm up walk and end with a cool down on the way back home
  • No more than two dogs at a time
  • We carry waste bags, treats & water
  • 30, 45 and 60 minutes are our most requested session durations, however you can opt for more if you like.

Otherwise known as group therapy, dogs in our social programs are walked or driven from their homes to a nearby park where they can run, sniff and play in company.

At HappypawsFITNESS we don't like to stand still, so we try to choose parks where we can all travel a good distance as a pack. With a maximum of four to five dogs at any one time we try and pair up similar sized dogs who we think will have a great time together.

The social program goes for 60 minutes.

Is your puppy not yet old enough to be on the ground at the park? We can modify our social program to suit them. We can even take your pup to the park in a specially designed sling to see the sights and drink in the atmosphere, introducing them to all the noises and people in the big wide world. It's also a good way to introduce them to exercise.

  • What's your dog's fitness level?
  • What does his or her daily exercise typically consist of?
  • Has your pet recently had a check up at the vet?
  • Does your pet enjoy the company of other dogs?
  • Does he or she have any illnesses, injuries or behavioral problems HappypawsFITNESS should know about?

If it's been longer than six months we encourage you have his or her heart, lungs and joints checked by your veterinarian before starting out on our, or any, new fitness program.

Before your dog joins us as a regular or casual customer, we visit your home to meet you and your pet. We will ask you a series of questions to make sure that your dog is compatible with the type of services we provide. This also gives you and your pet the chance to meet us so you can be sure that you want to hire us. When we've all agreed to the best type of care, we create a file for you and your pet, sign an agreement, collect any keys required and agree to a time and day(s) you will need us.
